(Continued from Part 1)
Miraculously, Allen learned how to play the drums using his feet instead of his arm. After this setback Def Leppard released their fourth album, Hysteria, in 1987. It was also a huge success being certified 7x platinum (7000000 sales). Hysteria spawned the hits Animal, Love Bites, Women, the title track, Pour Some Sugar on Me, Rocket, and Armageddon It. While recording the next album Steve Clark died of an alcohol related incident and Phil Collen took over lead guitar. In 1992 Def Leppard released the follow-up to Hysteia with Adrenalize which proved to be less successful than the two previous albums but still included hits like “Lets Get Rocked” and “Have You Ever Needed Someone So Bad”.Clark’s replacement came in former Whitesnake guitarist Vivian Campbell. From there Def Leppard's sales slowly dropped with each album. 1993's Retro Active was still successful including the hit “Two Steps Behind (electric and acoustic versions)” and “Miss You in a Heartbeat (electric and acoustic versions)”. A greatest hits album followed Retro Active. Slang, released in 1996 wasn't as successful. Def Leppard still performs to today with the same band members since Retro Active. They released two more albums after Slang, Euphoria and X, which were not as popular as their predecessors. Euphoria had a minor hit while X wasn't very popular due to the band's change in music. A few live albums like Mirror Ball and Yeah! have been released since but no studio albums. Def Leppard plans to released another studio album simply titled Def Leppard in late 2015.
