AC/DC are an Australian rock band formed in the mid 1970's. The band’s original members consisted of vocalist Bon Scott, guitarist Malcolm Young, guitarist Angus Young, drummer Phil Rudd, and bassist Mark Evans (who was replaced after the band's first few albums). Malcolm and Angus Young are brothers. AC/DC released their first album in 1975 titled High Voltage. AC/DC also released a second album titled TNT the same year. Both albums were only originally released in Australia. AC/DC released the album High Voltage in 1976 worldwide containing songs from both their albums released in Australia. The album was successful in multiple countries and had the hits “It’s A Long Way to the Top (If You Want to Rock and Roll)” and “TNT”. In 1976 AC/DC released their second album only available in Australia. Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap was released in America in 1981. The album included the hit “Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap” and sold around 6000000 copies in the U.S and sold around 420000 copies in Australia. In 1977 the band would release their third album titled Let There Be Rock. In 1978, AC/DC released their fourth album, Powerage. They also released a live album the same year. AC/DC would make international success with their next album released in 1979. Highway to Hell was the band’s sixth album and was their most popular album up to then. Highway to Hell has one of the band's most recognized songs “Highway to Hell”. The album charted highly in the U.S and Australia and sold around 7000000 copies. After this album Bon Scott died of an alcohol overdose in 1980. He was replaced by vocalist Brian Johnson later that year.
